Vidal “Tony” Cerna, APRN, FNP-C is the lead provider at Progressive Healthcare DPC and a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) dedicated to delivering accessible, personalized healthcare in Tampa. With a strong background in both primary care and urgent care settings, Tony saw firsthand how insurance-driven medicine often leaves patients underserved—and knew there had to be a better way.
Through Progressive Healthcare DPC, Tony offers a direct primary care model that strips away the barriers, allowing patients to experience truly comprehensive, compassionate, and affordable care. His focus is on building lasting relationships with patients, providing proactive healthcare solutions, and empowering individuals to take control of their well-being.
Outside the clinic, Tony enjoys spending time with family, staying active, and giving back to the Tampa Bay community he’s proud to call home.

Nereida Mitchell is a seasoned healthcare professional with over 15 years of experience in patient care and customer service. She has a strong background in supporting elderly patients with Alzheimer’s and Dementia, bringing compassion and professionalism to every interaction.
Outside of her work at Progressive Healthcare DPC, Nereida is a dedicated wife and mother who enjoys gardening, functional health, and exploring the outdoors. She is passionate about promoting whole-person wellness and building meaningful connections within the community.
