Vidal “Tony” Cerna, APRN, FNP-C is the lead provider at Progressive Healthcare DPC and a board-certified, Autonomous Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) dedicated to delivering accessible, personalized healthcare in Tampa. With a strong background in both primary care and urgent care settings, Tony saw firsthand how insurance-driven medicine often leaves patients underserved—and knew there had to be a better way.
Through Progressive Healthcare DPC, Tony offers a direct primary care model that strips away the barriers, allowing patients to experience truly comprehensive, compassionate, and affordable care. His focus is on building lasting relationships with patients, providing proactive healthcare solutions, and empowering individuals to take control of their well-being.
Outside the clinic, Tony enjoys spending time with family, staying active, and giving back to the Tampa Bay community he’s proud to call home.

Medical Advisor
Jude A. Pierre, MD (also known as Coach JPMD) serves as the Medical Advisor for Progressive Healthcare DPC. An internal medicine physician with over two decades of experience, Dr. Pierre is a passionate advocate for patient-centered, independent medical care.
Dr. Pierre brings deep clinical expertise combined with a visionary approach to healthcare delivery. Throughout his career, he has led innovative models that prioritize patient wellness, physician autonomy, and healthcare system reform. His leadership ensures that Progressive Healthcare DPC delivers care that is not only clinically excellent but also accessible, transparent, and deeply compassionate.
In addition to his role at Progressive Healthcare DPC, Dr. Pierre is a national speaker, coach, and host of "The Independent Physician’s Blueprint" podcast, where he empowers physicians to create sustainable, patient-focused practices.
